All this senior boy needs is a soft bed, some good food, and someone who will take him out frequently or put belly bands on him. His hearing and sight are not 100%, but other than that, he is healthy. This little girl was found a few days ago living in a trash pile. She had 3 siblings according to some who had seen the pups when they were dropping off their garbage. The 3 siblings went missing, and she was the only little one left. She was picked up by a female who took her to the vet for her initial shots and exam. The vet said she appears very healthy. She has already had the first round of puppy shots and de-wormer. Also, she has been cleaned up and all of her ticks and fleas have been removed. She has a very sweet and loving personality, and can’t weigh more than about 2 pounds right now. She’s very tiny. The girl who found her cannot keep her at the place she lives, so she needs a good home.

Hello - I'm sending this out to all the local rescues and hoping someone can help. Our cat is lost and we live in Reston. He was lost at Charter Oak Apartments, which is in the vicinity of Temporary Rd. and North Shore, across Reston Pkwy from Reston Town Center. He has been lost since Wednesday, Jun 29. We're heartbroken and hoping someone will turn him in. He looks somewhat like a Maine Coon mix. This is the only photo we could find of him.  He is neutured, approx. 10 yrs old (he was a rescue so we're not sure); he is an indoor cat and is not wearing a collar. We lost our cat Snap about a month ago. He walked out one afternoon, as often, and never came back. We put up posters etc etc and about a week later had a call saying someone had found him. We brought him home but after two weeks of weird behaviour from him felt there was something wrong. The vet found out he wasn't our Snap - just his twin. He was microchipped! So he was reunited with his owner which was great, but we were back to square one with a missing Snap, no further information, and a lost two weeks of looking. 
At this point we are not honestly expecting to see him again. BUT we would really like to know he is either ok with a new family, or that something has happened to him that is final in some way. Because of the lost two weeks it is possible he has been adopted, or fostered, or something horrible and so I am asking if you have any information at all could you share it with us. Did you see him during the last four weeks. He went missing from our home in zip code 22043, off Idylwood Road in the Falls Church area, in the triangle formed by the Beltway/Route 7/I66. 
Snap is five years old, neutered, light buff with a white chest and tummy, and white paws. He weighed about 14 pounds and was healthy. He last had his teeth cleaned in February so they are in good condition. He is really friendly and gentle and we miss him terribly. He would probably be fine with other cats as he has two sisters, and with kids as we have two, but hasn't been in contact with dogs. PLEASE - anything you can tell us would be wonderful. I am at my wit's end missing him!

Because Dozer is an owner surrender and because of his breed, he does not stand much of a chance at survival unless someone steps up to take him immediately. He is definitely URGENT. The City has decided that in order to cut expenses, they will kill any dog that has been at the pound more than 5 to 7 days, even if they have room for the dog. They also do not want to have any more than 10 dogs at one time, so there may be dogs that do not even get their 5 to 7 days.

LUCKY HAS FOUND HIS PERFECT FOREVER HOME.

Wonderful News! (a note from Jeanette) My bald little foster Pit Bull, Lucky, who was horribly neglected & abused has found his perfect Forever Home! Lucky's new Mom, Rebecca, could not be a more perfect fit. Rebecca sadly lost her Pit Bull (a tripod), Teddy, to cancer earlier this month, just one month shy of his 11th birthday.  Rebecca saw Lucky on a rescue website and told me she kept coming back to his sweet face, a face only a mother could love. Lucky now has the life he deserves with lots of love, a very nice home, a shady, back yard, goes for walks, rides in the car and even gets to sleep in bed! He is receiving excellent medical care and continues to get better with each day. His new nickname is 'Little Piggy'. To those of you who were fortunate enough to have met Lucky, and to those of you who assisted in cross-posting and networking to get his story out, I sincerely want to thank you for your time, encouragement and support in helping Lucky to find his new Forever Home with Rebecca.  He is truly a 'Lucky Dog'
