9-21-12: We have found rescue for Shane, received multiple offers for him so he will be safe. HOWEVER....we have many other gorgeous Labbies and other dogs in DESPERATE need of being saved from the gas chamber list with no offers to save them!. The volunteers have NEVER seen the Vance shelter this full. SHANE is defeated, his spirit broken, and he has given up hope. He most likely had an uncaring owner who simply dumped him to fend for himself, and now Shane finds himself at a kill shelter that uses the gas chamber. He is so depressed he just hangs his head in despair, his ears covered in fly bites, his coat dirtied from the elements he endured, his spirit...broken. Please rescue Shane, he deserves so much more than the life he's had.
