*Dunnellon, FL: Cuddles - tied up outside desperately needs help

8-16-13:  Cuddles is safe!

Folks, this family is up against impossible odds.  Please search your heart and your contacts to help save Cuddles.
"My name is Laura, and my husband has not only abandoned me and our two children, but he has left us with a dog, "Cuddles" that I am allergic to, and unable to take to the home.
I've just rented for myself and the kids.  Up
until three months ago I was a stay-at-home/homeschooling mom to a 9 and 13 year old, and in the past three months mine and my children's world has gone completely upside down.
We have a dog that desperately needs a good home to go to.  I've made
sure to have my son feed the dog (he's not a big animal, maybe a foot and a half tall and he's a mix, but of what I do not know).
He is tied up outside at the house we were forced out of because, as I found out after my husband left, he hadn't paid the mortgage since 2010.

The dog is very sweet, but desperate for attention.  He has mange and fleas, and it’s the fleas that I have a severe allergy to, more so than even the dog.  My husband was supposed to come back and take him, but he's not been seen since June, and the kids and I had to move this past weekend.
I can't afford to keep going over there to feed the dog, but I don't know what to do.
The Marion Co Humane Society said that because he has mange, they can't take him. I couldn't even put him in my car to take him there even if they would have taken him. I don't know what to do.
I wasn't raised around animals at all, and I cry every time I see him, because he's so pitiful.  He needs someone to take and love him.  He's only 3 years old.
